RLC graduate to be featured in upcoming author's event

April 5, 2022

INA, IL (April 5, 2022) - Rend Lake College will welcome back its first author event later this month.

RLC alumna Jami Colgrave Harland will be featured at a reading in the Children’s Library on Monday, April 18. The event begins at 10 a.m., and it is open to the public.

Colgrave Harland, who works as a practicing therapist for Cornerstone Family Counseling in Mt. Vernon, will be reading her book “Ava and Abel Learn They Are Able.” The story chronicles two students as they make their way home from school. Their journey allows them to meet different people who “are already confident in their special abilities,” according to the book’s official site.

The Children’s Library is located in the Mary and George Slankard Learning Resource Center on the RLC main campus in Ina.

There will be a question-and-answering session after the reading. For more information, email mabreya@rlc.edu.
