RLC helps Jefferson County upgrade communication (standalone photo)

Switch Donation WINA, Ill. (Feb. 28, 2017) - Rend Lake College donated five Cisco power of Ethernet switches to the Jefferson County Board on Tuesday afternoon. Jefferson County Board Member, Technology Committee Chairman and Rend Lake College student Adam Ortgiesen (center) commented on the county's intention to update communication infrastructure within several Jefferson County Departments. Computer Networking Professor Ricky Robinson (right), with the backing of Dean of Applied Science Chris Nielsen (left), was able to locate units no longer needed by the college and donate them to the county to be used in a variety of departments.
