RLC holds pinning ceremony for 2026 Radiologic Technology Students

INA, Ill. (May 21, 2026) — Rend Lake College held a pinning ceremony on May 14 to celebrate 25 students who successfully completed the RLC Radiologic Technology program.

The ceremony featured a prayer, led by Makinley Duvall, and a speech from the class speaker, Maryjane Gentles, followed by the presentation of pins by the radiologic technology program faculty: Holly Heisner, Racheal Smith and Garrik McConnell. To close the ceremony, Allyson Tate led the Class of 2026 in the Radiologic Technologist Pledge.

The Perfect Clinical Attendance award is given to students who have attended every clinical session throughout the academic semester. The students that received this award were Maryjane Gentles, India Rapach, Hayden Mofield and Billy Beer.

The Academic Excellence award is given to students who have maintained a 4.0 GPA in all radiologic technology courses. The students that received this award were Taylor Ash, Billy Beer, Emma Cluck, Joshua Frattini, Hayden Mofield, Ethan Zoller and Chloe Dupuis.

The Most Improved Radiologic Technologist Student award is given to a student who has shown significant growth and development in their skills, knowledge and professional demeanor throughout the academic year. The student that received this award is Jolese Henry.

The Most Outstanding Radiologic Technologist Student award honors a student who has demonstrated exceptional skill, academic excellence, professionalism and leadership throughout the radiologic technology program. This award was given to Billy Beer, who exemplifies the highest standards of the profession in all aspects of his training.

Lambda Nu (LN) members were also recognized at the ceremony. LN is a national honor society for the radiologic and imaging sciences.
