RLC receives Criminal Justice Scholarship for the 12th year.

December 5, 2023

INA, Ill. (Dec. 5, 2023)— Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard and Mt. Vernon Police Chief Trent Page recently presented a $1,500 scholarship donation for students in the Criminal Justice program at Rend Lake College. Ron Meek, now in his 14th year instructing students in the program, said the scholarship has been awarded for a dozen straight years and is funded by money seized in drug convictions. He added that the ongoing scholarship has helped many students succeed in the program over the years. “We encourage anyone who’s interested in Criminal Justice to consider coming to RLC,” said Meek. “We’d love to have them.”
