RLC students lead campaign for Prevent Child Abuse Awareness Month

May 14, 2025

INA, Ill. (May 14, 2025) — Rend Lake College is proud to share that students from the Child Psychology course conducted their Prevent Childhood Awareness Campaign in April.

The student-led campaign involved creating and handing out informative flyers, designing shirts with the slogan Silence the Violence and spreading awareness across campus about Prevent Child Abuse Awareness Month.

“Students in Child Psychology have been continuing this tradition of raising awareness for child abuse for over 20 years now,” said Dr. Jeannie Mitchell, RLC Psychology Professor. “I've been proud each and every year of their effort and dedication.”
