 Garbage Pail July 1

Students in the Garbage Pail Science Summer Kids Camp at Rend Lake College transferred colored water between a couple of cups on Wednesday afternoon, using only their thumbs and a  straw. Above: Raymond Anderson, left, and Rylan Cravens let their imaginations run wild while completing the task, pretending to extract the alien's blood, making Mickey Mouse ears out of droplets and looking to "get rid of COVID."

This week, Garbage Pail Science taught children in fourth through sixth grade how to conduct different science experiments with every day household items. The camp's instructor is Reba Boyer of Mt. Vernon.

Other campers include Evan McClerren, Allison McKinney, Gia McPherson, Kalea Poindexter and Mason Wilce.
