What does cloud computing mean and where does your information go when it is stored in the cloud? Join RLC Computer Programming and Information Technology instructors for a one-day course on Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
With the ever-changing world of Information Technology, understanding the nuts and bolts of security is paramount to the protection of your critical information. The following one-day four-hour workshop will be an introduction to Information Security. Some of the topics include:

- S. Compliance Laws overview
- Risks, Threats and Vulnerabilities
- Social Media Threats
- Different roles of the modern-day hacker
- Physical Security
Those enrolled in the course will be introduced to Amazon Web Services, a secure cloud services platform offering compute power, database and file storage, content delivery and other functions to help businesses. The presentation introduces cloud computing principles, security and compliance topics as well as some key AWS services and cost models for moving to the cloud.
