RLC welcomes grade school students for its annual Children’s Health Fair

May 6, 2026

INA, Ill. (May 6, 2026) — Local grade school students from the region gathered at Rend Lake College’s Wayne Arnold Recreational Center (The REC) on Thursday, April 23 to explore how their bodies work and learn healthy habits at the Children’s Health Fair.

An adult in a green shirt holds up a small object for a group of curious children to examine. The kids are gathered closely, watching the demonstration with interest. On the table in front of them, several small glass jars are lined up.

Each student took part in the Healthy Body Walk, moving through a hands-on journey of the human body with interactive exhibits highlighting different systems. Beyond the Body Walk, students explored healthy lifestyles, tried yoga, heard from first responders and experienced much more!
