INA, Ill. (January 12, 2025) — Rend Lake College is happy to announce its next Open House will be 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11 at the RLC Event Center, located on the Ina Campus. The Open House offers a great opportunity for prospective students, families and the community to experience all that RLC has to offer. This spring's open house will once again provide an opportunity to win tuition giveaways and free tees for those who preregister. It will also have new features like exclusive RLC clothing items, passes to the Warriors basketball games that evening and custom chocolates by RL Confections - just in time for Valentine's Day!
Programs & Faculty
Dive into our diverse programs, engage with our esteemed instructors, take a tour around our campus and kick-start your journey as a Warrior.
Attendees will have the chance to explore more than 100 degrees and certificates from a diverse range of programs, and meet the dedicated faculty and staff who bring the programs to life. Deans and representatives from each program will be present to answer questions and provide insights into the educational paths available.
Financial Aid
RLC's financial aid experts will be available for all questions during the Open House. There will be a session on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), alongside a dedicated table to assist with any financial aid inquiries.
Additionally, the RLC Foundation will be on hand to discuss scholarship opportunities. The RLCF awards hundreds of scholarships, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. The many donors of these scholarships want to ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed at RLC.
Registration & Academic Advisement
Academic Advisors will be available throughout the event, offering onsite registration for classes, while the Student Records team will assist with completing applications.
Giveaways
RLC will be drawing for - not one, not two, but THREE - tuition waivers valued at $330 each. Winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing, but must have attended the Open House.
Popcorn, drinks, bookstore swag, and chocolates from RL Confections will be available during the event. Attendees will also receive free admission to the Warriors and Lady Warriors basketball games.
