INA, Ill. (June 18, 2024) – The Rend Lake College Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Tate to its Board of Directors. As a two-time alumnus of RLC, Tate brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to keeping higher education accessible to area residents.
Nearly 20 years after Tate received his associate's degree in 1993, he enrolled in the RLC business program and graduated again in 2012. He then continued his education: receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Illinois University—Carbondale in 2014 and passing the Certified Public Accountant exam in 2016. In 2022, Tate began his own accounting firm, Tate Accounting CPA, in Mt. Vernon.
