The Amazing Career Race Introduces Kids to Different Career Paths

INA, Ill (September 30, 2024)—The Fall 2024 Amazing Career Race took place on September 25-27, which is a fun and informative event used to introduce local 5th and 6th graders to different career paths available to them.

The students explored 16 Career Clusters that ranged from Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources to Transportation, Distribution and Logistics. They had variety of activities from learning about the different pathways and occupations to participating in hands-on activities from qualified RLC faculty & staff. The Amazing Career Race gave each child experience that model the skills needed in those different careers.

 

Participating Schools

Wednesday, September 25: St Mary Mt. Vernon, Field, Bluford, Pinckneyville #204, Dahlgren, Spring Garden, Ewing Northern 6th Grade and Opdyke Belle Rive

Thursday, September 26: Akin, Woodlawn, Pinckneyville Jr High, Farrington and Ewing Northern 5th Grade. 

Friday, September 27: East Side, Christopher, Wayne City, Zeigler Royalton, Sesser-Valier, McClellan and Thompsonville.
