RLC Thespians Club hosts the 2026 Night of Comedy

February 2, 2026

INA, Ill. (February 2, 2026) — The Rend Lake College Thespians Club showcased its improvisation skills and delivered an entertaining performance during the 2026 Night of Comedy on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Ina Campus.Seven members of the RLC Thespians Comedy Improv team pose on a stage in front of a black curtain, wearing matching shirts featuring drama masks. In the front row, Madison Brower (left) has blue hair and a somber expression, while Jinx Craddock (right) holds a baby doll and laughs with their mouth wide open. In the back row, standing from left to right, are Malcom Hall, Taylor Wilburn (making a playful face), Gabrielle Webb, Jack Robison, and Samuel Buesking.

The audience roared with laughter as the performers improvised with audience suggestions and unique stage directions. The improv group even froze to allow audience members to take their place!

The Thespians use a form of acting called Comedy Improvisation. They perform the same kind of quick-thinking acting exercises seen on television’s "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" as well as exercises the "Second City" school of improvisational acting has mastered.
