INA, Ill. (September 3, 2019) - Ty Coleman is the Rend Lake College Veteran of the Month for September 2019.
Coleman is a Woodlawn resident and served in the United States Air Force from 2013-17. He is currently studying Criminal Justice at RLC after serving as a member of the security force.
Having started college right out of high school, Coleman decided he wanted to step away from the classroom for a while and gain some experience in the world.
“I went to school before, and it just didn’t work out. So, I decided to join the Air Force to better myself for the future,†Coleman explained. “My military experience matured me to finish school and get a better job.â€
In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing sports and hanging out with friends and family.
