INA, Ill. (July 27, 2023)—At the first of three Warrior Days, RLC staff welcomed incoming students to the college.
RLC Student Ambassadors are all smiles at Warrior Day! FROM LEFT ARE; Madison Shepherd (Mt. Vernon), Casey Brandt (Mt. Vernon), and Treya Fassett (Waltonville).
During the orientation, students were led in a tour around campus, signed up for classes, received student IDs, printed out schedules, and more. This service provided every year to new students is an integral part of Rend Lake College’s mission to make our school a positive place to begin your academic journey.
Students also received a folder with a packet of information on how to bolster your success at Rend Lake College. Included in the materials provided was information about STARS, an on-campus service provided by RLC that serves first-generation students, low-income students, and students with disabilities to assist them in academic and personal success. Two other Warrior Day Orientations will take place August 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and August 12. First day of classes for the Fall 2023 semester is on August 14 and you can sign up for classes up until the first week of school. Walk-in registration starts August 7.
