INA, IL (Nov. 10, 2021) – To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, Rend Lake College will be hosting a round table event on campus in which employers who have established apprenticeship programs will discuss why the apprenticeship training program works and the benefits the program provides for employers and job seekers in southern Illinois.
Current RLC students, high school students, businesses and community members are invited to attend and listen as employers discuss topics such as details about their program design, how businesses can start their own apprenticeship program and how to apply for available apprenticeship positions.
The RLC Apprenticeship Round Table will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18. In the Student Center Private Dining Area. Those interested can join in the discussion either in-person or over Zoom.
After the discussion, employers will be available to meet one on one with job seekers in the RL Café dining area from 2 to 4 p.m. The career fair will provide an opportunity for those who want to learn more about apprenticeships and other career opportunities at their company.
