INA, Ill. (Aug. 26, 2013) – A Fall Carnival will be held for the first time by the Rend Lake College Foundation Children’s Center, to both raise money and help more families learn about the childcare options on RLC’s campus.
The carnival will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the center. There will be many family-friendly activities, such as games with prizes, a cake walk, back-to-school haircuts by licensed cosmetologists Erica Mays and Kim Waggoner, personal chair massages from the RLC Therapeutic Massage program, and much more.
Brooke May, Director of the Children’s Center, said the proceeds from the carnival will go toward replacing the current playground equipment for the children.
“We also want the public to have a chance to see what a great quality center we have here at Rend Lake College,” said May. “It is an opportunity for our families to come out together and enjoy a fun, family-friendly event for free.”
In addition to the center’s open house, there will also be free car seat inspections. Door prizes, raffles, snacks and a silent auction will also be available.
