About This Position

Rend Lake College seeks an Assistant Manager of Food Services for the main Ina Campus.  This individual will coordinate with the Director of Food Services on all operations including scheduling; supervise student workers and part-time retail staff; assist with the training of student workers and part-time staff; track inventory and place orders; assist with department reporting as needed; ensure quality customer service and product satisfaction; compile daily reports as requested; assist with the development of menus & daily specials; prepare daily breakfast and lunch items; maintain a clean and sanitized work area; provide product descriptions to patrons; follow all requirements and regulations as defined by the Department of Public Health and Food Sanitation

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or Culinary Arts Certificate required.
  • Illinois Food Handler certification required
  • Illinois Food Manager certification required
  • Good communication & customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work well with others
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.

Salary & Benefits
  • Wage: $17 per hour
  • 35 hours per week
  • Accrued personal time
