About This Position

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Community, Corporate, &Workforce Education Director. The Director of Community, Corporate andWorkforce Education provides strategic leadership and oversight for allnoncredit, workforce, and corporate training initiatives. This role focuses onbuilding partnerships with business, industry, and community organizations todeliver innovative education and training solutions that meet regionalworkforce needs. The Director ensures alignment of programs with institutionalgoals, labor market trends, and community priorities. Some of the mainfunctions of the position are as follows:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for community and corporate education programs, including workforce development, professional development, and lifelong learning.
    • Lead efforts to identify and respond to regional workforce needs through partnerships with employers, economic development agencies, and community organizations.
    • Oversee development, marketing, and delivery of training programs for business and industry, including customized solutions, short-term certifications, and apprenticeships.
    • Support and collaborate on the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of professional development and noncredit programs to meet community and industry demand.
    • Supervise staff to ensure effective program management, compliance, and customer service.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to integrate noncredit and credit pathways, competency-based education, and micro-credentials.
    • Manage budgets, contracts, and reporting for grants and workforce initiatives.
    • Represent the college at local, state, and national meetings related to workforce and community education
Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in a related business field required, Master's preferred
•    Must be able to successfully pass a background screening
•    Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills required
•    Ability to deliver industry-based training, including customized or contract training for employers, workforce development programs, or short-term credentialing initiatives.
•    Direct industry experience in one or more sectors aligned with workforce (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, business, technology, or skilled trades).
•    Ability to work collaboratively with industry partners, employers, and economic development entities to identify training needs and develop responsive programs.
Salary & Benefits

•    $60,000 - $65,000 salary or commensurate with experience
•    Full benefits which include health insurance, retirement, life insurance and paid-time off
•    Free tuition for employee, spouse and dependents
