INA, Ill. (February 18, 2026) — February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and Rend Lake College is celebrating their valuable role in preparing the workforce for in-demand jobs. CTE programs provide students with hands-on training in a variety of industries.

At RLC, CTE programs offer a comprehensive range of courses, from welding to healthcare, with technology and facilities that provide students an immersive learning environment that mirrors real-world work settings.
CTE programs at Illinois community colleges offer an affordable way for individuals to pursue their career goals by costing a fraction of the tuition at four-year institutions, making it a more accessible option for many students.

To ensure students excel in these programs, RLC provides specialized resources through the CTE Success Center, located in the Learning Resource Center on the Ina Campus.
The CTE Success Center offers a variety of services to help students meet industry demands, including:
Specialized Labs: A Nurse Skills Lab and access to human anatomy models.
Academic Support: One-on-one tutoring assistance and quiet group study spaces.
Career Readiness: Career exploration, job search assistance, and professional workshops.
