INA, Ill. (Aug. 9, 2023) — Hundreds of Rend Lake College students are finding higher education more attainable, thanks to the generosity of scholarship supporters.
At the August Board of Trustees meeting, RLC Executive Director of Administrative Services Cathy DeJarnette announced on behalf of the college’s Foundation that 300 students are being awarded $248,000 worth of scholarships for the Fall 2023 semester.
The RLC Foundation works to improve campus life and student success. The gifts provided by generous supporters are invested right back into the community. Contributions range from scholarships and memorials to life estates, real estate, tangible personal property, and more.
One way the Foundation raises money is coming up September 7th. This year is the 43rd Annual Golf Outing at Rend Lake Golf Complex in Whittington. All proceeds directly support the Foundation’s strategic priorities and student scholarship fund. For the past four decades, the annual golf outing has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for student scholarships.
