INA, Ill. (January 9, 2023) — Rend Lake College is excited to announce that auditions for its spring musical, The Sound of Music, are coming soon!
With memorable songs and a heartwarming story, The Sound of Music is a beloved and enduring tale that has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Set in Austria in the 1930s, the musical tells the story of Maria, a young woman who is sent to be the governess for the seven children of Captain von Trapp, a widowed naval officer. As Maria and the von Trapp children learn to work and play together, they also find themselves caught up in the tumultuous events of the time.
If you are interested in auditioning for this classic and beloved musical, please head to the RLC theater at the following times:
Ages 16 and older – Tuesday, January 17 @ 6 PM
Ages 7-15 – Thursday, January 19 @ 6 PM
The show will run from March 30-April 2, 2023, so mark your calendars and don't miss out on this exciting opportunity.
