June 20, 2024

INA, Ill. (June 20, 2024) — Rend Lake College is thrilled to announce the replacement of 1,887 fixtures to upgraded, energy-efficient LED lights across campus.

The replacements feature high-efficiency drivers and will use approximately 161,900 kWh/year. The replacements, at a cost of $129,071, were funded by a grant from the Illinois Green Economy Network. Buildings on campus that received the LEDs include the Learning Resource Center, Science Building, Applied Science & Technology Center, Academic Building, Administration Building, Vocational Building, Agronomy Innovation Center, and Student Center.
