INA, Ill. (September 25, 2025) — Rend Lake College was awarded a $199,951 grant toward the Student Center Efficiency Project by the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN).
The project will include the demolition of the existing 2,490-square-foot window system on the north side of the RLC Student Center and replacing it with a 985-square-foot window curtain wall. In addition, new energy-efficient double doors will be installed. Reducing the size of the windows will improve building performance and significantly lower the heat load, contributing to long-term energy savings and sustainability.
