RLC Announces Opportunities for Young Farmers and Ranchers

 

INA, IL (Feb 14, 2022) -- Beginning farmers - are you looking to increase your knowledge and skills? Rend Lake College will be hosting a variety of workshops to assist you, whether you are starting a new farm, have started a new farm or are planning to acquire an existing farm.

Dates and times are still to be determined, based on event schedules and availability. If you have an interest in attending any of these events and would like to be notified when dates are set, please contact Gabriele Farner at 618-437-5321 x. 1292 or via email at [email protected]. Space is limited, so get your name on the list early to be notified. Participants must be new farmers through start-up or farm acquisition.

  • Syngenta Field Day – Rend Lake College Campus, Ina, IL
  • University of Kentucky Field day – Princeton, KY
  • Illinois Beef Association Workshop – Rend Lake College Campus, Ina, IL
  • Soil Sampling Workshop – Rend Lake College Campus, Ina, IL
  • Pesticide testing – Rend Lake College Campus, Ina, IL
  • South Central FS, Inc. Feed Mill – Watson, IL
  • Local farm tours – location and dates will vary depending on availability
