About This Position
Rend Lake College seeks a full-time DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR for the Rend Lake College Foundation. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Act as a frontline office representative
- Act as a liaison for Foundation staff
- Assist with the Student Scholarship Program by ensuring compliance with scholarship criteria, and Foundation and RLC policies
- Manage and maintain scholarship files and student files
- Enter data into and maintain accuracy of scholarship donor and other records in the Foundation’s digital and paper files.
- Prepare appropriate correspondence to donors and scholarship recipients
- Communicate regularly with student scholarship recipients and donors
- Manage, create content, and assist with distribution of all donor and constituent communication (i.e. annual fund, scholarship program, special events and other development activities)
- Assist Foundation staff with alumni communication and cultivation strategies
- Compile department reports
- Assist with and attend RLC Foundation functions
- Manage the RLC Foundation webpage and social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
This position is full-time, 50-week, non-tenure track
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and customer service skills required.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects on a regular basis is a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Knowledge of growing and engaging social media and digital communication platforms preferred
- Experience with layout programs such as Canva is a plus
- All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.

- Salary: $37,000 - $40,000 annually or commensurate with experience
