About This Position

 

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Director - Competency Based Education. 

The job duties will include:

  1. Coordinate the development, implementation, and assessment of CBE programs.
  2. Serve as the liaison, recruiter, and advocate for CBE programs.
  3. Collaborate with faculty to design and revise the curriculum that aligns with competencies and industry needs.
  4. Facilitate training and support for faculty and staff in CBE instructional strategies and assessment.
  5. Monitor student progress, learning outcomes, and program effectiveness 
  6. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements related to CBE.
  7. Develop partnerships with employers and workforce organizations.
  8. Coordinate with student services to ensure appropriate advising, registration, and academic support for CBE students.
  9. Provide support and training to faculty and staff with technology-based products and tools.
  10. Coordinate the college's micro-credential/badging system

//50-week, non-tenure track position

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Education, or related field
  • Experience with competency based education
  • Experience in online teaching and curricular design
  • Experience training others in technical applications
  • Ability to interact with faculty and develop innovative ways to identify and meet their evolving needs
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.

Salary & Benefits
  • $55,000-$65,000 or commensurate with experience.
