About This Position

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Student Success Specialist. This position involves participating in recruitment, retention, and student activities across campus to aid in student success. Essential duties include; coordination of retention activities across campus; counseling students on enrollment, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities; tracking student success efforts; serve as a member of the RL-Cares team; representing RLC at high school and community events; assist in coordination and conduction of campus tours; coordinate and oversee campus food pantry; plan and implement student activities; facilitate the annual college fair; assist with walk-in advisement as needed.

50 week, non-tenure track position. 

Qualifications
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Ability to present to small and large groups required.
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
Salary & Benefits
  • 37,000-39,000 per year, or commensurate with education and experience
