RLC Radiologic Technology program to host information meetings

INA, IL (Feb. 22, 2022) -- Are you interested in joining one of the most essential health care professions in the US? Rend Lake College can help!

RLC will be hosting a series of information meetings with representatives from the Radiologic Technology program. You can either attend in-person on campus or virtually via Zoom.

The dates and times for the informational meetings are:

  • March 14 at 2:30 p.m.
  • March 21 at 5:30 p.m.
  • March 31 at noon
  • April 20 at 5:30 p.m.
  • April 22 at 1 p.m.

All on-campus meetings will be held in the Advanced Technology Center Room 118.

The Associate in Applied Science Degree program in Radiologic Technology is 21 months in length. It prepares students to take the national certification examination after its completion.

Radiologic technologists play an important role in medicine by providing quality radiographs for doctors and radiologists so that they can interpret and determine the best course of action.

The deadline to apply for the RLC Radiologic Technology program is May 1.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the overall employment of radiologic and MRI technologists is expected to grow 9 percent over the next decade.
